Hi friend!

I hope your new year is off to a beautiful start.

It’s been exactly two years since I closed my bento shop to β€œmake room for what’s next.” At the time, I had no idea what was coming.

Much of 2023 was a season of deep reflectionβ€”one that ultimately led me to spend the first few months of 2024 living in an ashram in India. It was an experience that changed me in ways I’m still discovering.

When I returned home to Austin in April, life seemed to unfold with a kind of serendipitous magic. Over the next few months, I turned 40, Charlie proposed (!), we bought a 100-year-old house that we’re now fixing up together (!!), and I took the leap into an exciting new professional venture (!!!).

I can’t wait to share more about my new venture in the coming months. For now, I’ll just say it’s something I’ve dreamed about for a long time, and I’m still in awe of how beautifully things have come together to make it happen.

As I settle into 2025, I’ve been reflecting on the momentsβ€”big and smallβ€”that made 2024 so meaningful. I’ve pulled together a list of my favorite meals and audiobooks from the past year, and I hope something on the list sparks joy or curiosity for you too.
